Causes and Ways to Avoid Bad Breath Dogs

Types of pets such as dogs or cats often have mouths or bad breath. If it's like this then we will be reluctant to play with them. The mouth that smells can be caused by things as follows:
  • Maybe the dog has an ulcer (gastritis). There may be many causes of gastritis such as parasites (worms), bacteria, protozoa, distemper virus (parvo virus), or excessive stomach acid.
  • Maybe the dog is suffering from inflammation of the gums called gingivitis, which is an infection by bacteria or fungi that produce an unpleasant odor because the cells die.
  • Maybe the dog has had a dental calculi (tartar) or organic substances attached to the tooth blades and piled up causing plaque.

To avoid these things you should do the following things:
  • Give dogs hard food. Usually sold in supermarkets or pet shops.
  • Dogs should be given toys to be bitten from raw leather made from buffalo or cow, hard rubber, or bones from nylon (nylon chew toys).
  • We recommend that the dog's teeth brushed with a brush that was given toothpaste containing baking soda or enzymes.
